The Crosby Straightpoint Colt is now available for hire from Lifting Gear Hire & Sales. This device is used for checking tension up to 5,000kg on wire ropes to 25mm in diameter. The Colt pairs to your smart phone through the Crosby app and is very simple to set up, with readings able to be taken in kg, lbs, tonnes and kilonewtons. Within the app you select from the substantial library of wire sizes, grades and construction to match up the SWR to be checked.
Applications are endless, simply anywhere a steel wire rope needs the tension set and accurately measured then this is the device, completely portable and comes in a sturdy transit case.
